Cheese Fondue With Fresh Vegetables


  • 1 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 pound Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 pound Gruyere cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
  • Fresh vegetables for dipping:
  • Broccoli, cauliflower, yellow squash, red peppers, carrots and mushrooms


  1. Simmer wine in fondue pot. In a large bowl, toss the shredded cheese with the flour to coat well. Add cheese gradually to fondue pot, about 1/4 pound at a time; stir after each addition of the cheese until melted and smooth. Add seasonings; stir until smooth and creamy. Serve with assorted fresh vegetables for dipping. Enjoy!
