Old-Fashioned Cream Pie

Ingredients
- 1 unbaked pie shell, homemade or store-bought
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1/3 stick butter, melted
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
- Beat eggs, add sugars and flour, mix well. Add cream, butter, salt and vanilla, mix well.
- Pour mixture into unbaked pie shell. Bake for 45 minutes or until set. Cover pie edge with foil if crust begins to brown too quickly.
- Cool pie on wire rack at room temperature for 1 hour. Transfer to refrigerator and chill for 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow filling to fully set and flavors to meld.
