Loaded Juicy Lucy Sheet Pan Sliders

Ingredients

  • 12 Brioche slider buns, split horizontally
  • 2 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 Tbsp. kosher salt
  • 2 tsp. ground black pepper
  • 1/2 c. grated white onion
  • 12 strips uncooked bacon
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • 6 slices mozzarella cheese
  • 6 slices sharp cheddar cheese
  • Burger Sauce
  • 1/4 c. mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. sweet pickle relish

Instructions

  1. Set oven to broil. Place slider bun tops and bottoms on a sheet pan, cut side up. Broil for 1 - 3 minutes until lightly toasted. Transfer buns to a cutting board.
  2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a 13x 9" nonstick rimmed sheet pan with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and grated onion. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly distributed. Press half of the ground beef mixture into a thin layer on the sheet pan. Layer the cheeses into 2 rows, ensuring space around the edges to prevent leakage while cooking. Cover the cheese with the remaining beef mixture. Weave the strips of bacon on top of the sheet pan burger and tuck in any edges that may hang over. If you're worried about grease dripping, place a larger sheet pan under the 13x9" pan. Bake for about 30 minutes, or until cooked through and the bacon starts to cook. Finish by broiling to crisp the bacon.
  4. While the burger is cooking, mix together the burger sauce ingredients and set aside.
  5. Once the sheet pan burger is done, carefully drain any excess grease. Using tongs or spatulas, transfer the burger to the toasted slider bun bottoms. Drizzle with the burger sauce and top with optional burger accoutrements. Top with toasted slider buns.
  6. Use a large knife to slice between the rows and columns of sliders, so they can easily be pulled apart. Serve warm while the cheese is still melted.
